Our full review
I purchased a total of four of these units, two for my shower and two for my husband’s shower. These soap dispensers come in two different looks, while I like both, I let my husband choose which design he liked for his shower.
Installation and setup
My husband installed all 4 soap dispensers in less than 5 minutes. We opted for the adhesive strip these dispensers come with since our showers are tiled and we did not want to drill holes. While some people reported that the adhesive gave out pretty fast, they seem very secure in our case. We may add more 3M adhesive tape down the line if it ever starts to feel lose. In all honesty, when initially using the soap dispenser I thought it didn’t work! After filling it with my shampoo and body wash, I stood there pumping it for a good 30 seconds and nothing happened, so I was pretty upset. My husband said he experienced the same thing, but after pumping it for a good minute or so, it finally started coming out. Since then every pump is dispensing soap just fine, so I’m guessing it’s just what is required to get the first flow going.
Usage
Ever since I truly love this soap dispenser. It’s just so convenient. My husband is the type of guy that has 10 bottles sitting around in his shower, some are even empty… After filling a dispenser with soap and one with body wash, he removed all the bottles from his shower, making it feel so much bigger (and less cluttered).
As for using the dispenser, I simply push the button 4 or 5 times and I’m good to go! I know where these dispensers are now just by touch, so I can literally stand in the shower with my eyes closed and get more soap just by feel.
Final thoughts
All in all, these little dispensers far surpassed my expectations, especially because they don’t have the greatest rating on amazon. But, if you’re prepared as far as adhesive, size and the initial pumping, there’s really no cons as far as we’re concerned!
I may order a few more in the future just for different applications. Like a soap dispenser by the kitchen sink, or even as a hand sanitizer dispenser in my store for customers.
Frequently asked questions
How does this soap dispenser work?
The first step would be to mount the soap dispenser on a hard surface. This can be done by either using the adhesive tape or anchors this unit comes with. Once installed, you can simply open the lid to fill it with shampoo, body wash, hand sanitizer, or whatever liquid you desire. Finally, you push to dispense a small amount of the previously filled liquid. This dispenser does not require batteries, the manual action is what makes it dispense.
Where can I install this soap dispenser?
Since this specific dispenser is compact, you could install it on any hard surface larger than 8″ tall and 4″ wide. A couple of locations we thought of after installing it in the shower, would be the kitchen, bathroom for hand soap or even my store for hand sanitizer!
As previously mentioned, this dispenser comes with adhesive tape as well as anchors. So you could either tape it on surfaces such as tile, screw it to wood, or anchor it on drywall.
